THE MONSTER CLUB (REMASTERED)
Turns out you CAN revisit and improve older work. So I guess that means ol’ George Lucas was right after all… Monster Club was one of the first comics posted on an earlier incarnation of this site. It’s my love-letter to Universal Monsters and EC Horror style comics as well.
Artist-extraordinaire Josh Skeel (seriously, check out ALL of his work now and then come back and finish reading) did a little tinkering in the lab (i.e. added some tones to the original art for The Monster Club), and the results are mind-blowing. This has long been one of my favorite horror shorts that I ever worked on and this new and improved version really adds to that love.
And, of course, continued credit to Christy Sawyer—whose awesome lettering and logo design work remains in place and…awesome.
