Drawing on 19+ years of publishing experience, I offer a wide array of editorial services for your projects in the print and digital spaces. Do you have a story (any length) in the horror or weird fiction genres that you’re looking to take to the next level? I can provide an array of editorial services for writing in these and other speculative fiction genres. In addition, I offer specialized feedback and consultation services for comic and graphic novel projects.
SERVICES OFFERED:
Manuscript Consultation/Development: I will provide developmental feedback and editorial guidance on your script, thumbnails, finished art, etc. (depending on where your project is at). Level of notes varies from line edit suggestions to broader structural/functional feedback for your project. Rate: $0.05/word
Proposal/Pitch/Query Letter Consultation: Same as above, but with a specific focus on your pitch, proposal document, or query letter. Having worked with authors and agents to fine-tune 50+ pitches for acquisitions acceptance, I can provide insights and recommendations to help you (a) highlight what makes your project special, (b) identify the potential audience for your project, (c) speak to potential comparable titles, and (d) quantify your platform and identify your best resources for promotion/publicity. (Note: I can review a current draft of a work-in-progress proposal, or help you build a proposal from scratch.) Proposal/Pitches Rate: $0.05/word | Query Letter Consult Rate: $100/query
Mentoring: Multi-project editorial consultation and career feedback/guidance for a set time-period. As an HWA mentor for ~4 years, I’ve had the distinct pleasure of seeing my mentees succeed with publications and other career achievements. Let me help you plot your course for achieving your writing and writing career goals! Rate: $75/hour (with duration to be agreed upon)
